As my body of work - especially in terms of non-fiction books - has grown over the past decade, I've been building up massive stores of content, from thousands of photos and slides to thousands of pages of research. I've always done a little promotion of my work online, but it wasn't until I attended the Society of American Travel Writers Institute for Guidebook Writing in 2007 that I became inspired to start created websites based around my areas of research to promote my books. My inspiration? Lee Foster, the first person to truly take advantage of the web for book and article promotion back in the days when CompuServe and AOL ruled the roost. The result? These websites. Take a look!
