Amber at the pinnacle

A fine morning for play, today, in downtown Lakeland at Barnett Family Park. While I didn’t expect the fountains to be on (allowing nieces and nephews to get soaked), I did expect a fair crowd at the playground, and we weren’t disappointed. I’d promised a “giant spider web” to the kids and here it is! Amber took it in stride, and made her way to the very tip top for a few photos.

Barnett Family Park is right along Lake Mirror off Orange Ave in Lakeland, just east of Lakeland City Hall and Hollis Garden. It shares a parking area with the garden. Features include both wet and dry playgrounds, a concession area with picnic tables, and lots of open grassy spaces (right in the middle of the city!) for the kids to run around in.
