Arrival

Oct 18, 2006   //   by Sandra Friend   //   Travels  //  No Comments

Welcome to Chile!Reeling from a lack of sleep (thanks to a couple of Outward Bound instructor trainees who decided to chat all night next to me on the plane, and the general discomfort of sleeping on a plane) I’ve arrived in Santiago after a day spent in transit. Haven’t seen a lot yet but am signed up for a noontime tour.

From the bus thus far, airport to hotel: the city is ringed by massive mountains, the landscape is desert-like but bursting with flowers in bloom, and homes range from the odd little shacks to modern apartment buildings. More to follow later today, after I get some photos!

And a special note to a special boy:
Happy birthday, Ashton! I’m now in the Land of Paz!
